VORTEX NORTH SPRING 2020 MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM

Pinnacle Girls Lacrosse Club and Vortex Elite are pleased to introduce the Vortex North Arizona Girls Youth Lacrosse League (AGYL) recreational league program for Spring 2020.

If your middle school-aged daughter has been curious about lacrosse but doesn’t know where to start, this is the place!

The program is intended to deliver the convenience, community, cost-effectiveness and casual nature of house league sports for every Vortex North player, regardless of experience level.

The Vortex North recreational league program is open to all interested middle school players in the PVUSD district and surrounding area – public, private and charter schools alike!

We support both Pinnacle and Horizon high school teams in the district.

SEASON
  • Begins February 4, ends April 25
  • Two practices a week: Tuesday and Thursdays, 5 to 6 pm
  • 22 practices total
  • Pinnacle Girls Lacrosse Field at Pinnacle High School near the bus lanes. A few practices will be held at a local park due to JV high school game schedules – those will be communicated well in advance

COACHING

Coach Dave Podolak will serve as Head Coach for most practices and all games

“Coach Podo” grew up playing lacrosse in New Jersey, and his two daughters played lacrosse at Pinnacle.
He served as PGLC Head Coach and Assistant Coach for several seasons, and he also ran Paradise Valley Lacrosse Club for many years, supporting youth and high school lacrosse players in the PVUSD area.

Dave travels every other week for work, so on alternating weeks the Vortex North team will be coached by current PGLC coaches and/or varsity players – or even with the PGLC JV team – using the practice plans developed by Coach Podo.
